DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

The department is headed by a Director and its responsibilities are:

• State-wide monitoring of daily street sweeping exercise.
• Daily monitoring of vegetation control in urban centres within the State.
• Watershed management.
• Landscaping and beautification of roundabout, road medians.
• Nature and biodiversity conservation.
• Monitoring of mineral resources sites to enforce appropriate reclamation of the area.
• Monitoring of car wash centres and fuel Stations across the State.
• Attending to public complaints on Environmental related issue.
• Buy Back Policy.
